- Reverend Frankey D. GraytonSenior PastorPastor Frankey Grayton is the youngest son of the late Curtis Grayton, and a strong prayer warrior, the late Viola “Ola” Johnson.Pastor Grayton is a native of the District of Columbia and product of the District of Columbia public school system where he graduated from Banneker Senior High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Capitol Heights, MD and a Master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. Pastor Grayton is an entrepreneur and is a Master Plumber/Gasfitter. He had been self-employed and the owner of Grayton Plumbing for 21 years.Pastor Grayton dedicated his life to Christ in January 1991 and became a member of Enon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Tommie L. Shaw. At that time, he and his wife Talita were baptized together. In 1995, Pastor Grayton preached his initial sermon, “The ransom has already been paid; why are you still bound?” Pastor Grayton was licensed and ordained as a minister under the tutelage of Reverend Shaw.
Reverend Dr. Arthur Wright
Minister of WorshipAreas of Ministry: Associate Minister, Sunday School Teacher, Youth, and Young Adult Minster Sight and Sound Engineer. Dr. Wright was licensed to preach the gospel at the Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Armona, California in 1990 and ordained in November 1992.Education: Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University, a Masters of Ministry and Doctor of Ministry degree from The Christian Bible College and Seminary. In addition, he earned a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministries/Church Leadership from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.About Me: A native of Baltimore, MD. Arthur upon graduation from high school entered the United States Navy where he served for 22 years achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer before retiring. After retirement, he started Decision Dynamics LLC as President and CEO, a Business consulting firm that provides travel, insurance, business consulting and proposal writing services. Dr. Wright is a Certified Travel Specialist, Licensed Insurance Specialist and Maryland Notary. Dr. Wright is married to Phyllis J. Wright and together they have six children and five grandchildren.One of Dr. Wright’s most beloved texts is “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2: 2-3
Minister Craig Marshall
Minister of FellowshipAreas of Ministry: Minister Marshall currently serves as an Associate Minister, Youth and Young Adult Ministry leader, Sunday School Ministry, and Pastor’s Aide Ministry. Min. Marshall served as the Chairperson for the Security Ministry (Gatekeepers) from 1998-2009, and coached with the church Youth Basketball team from 2007-2009.Education: Min. Marshall is a High School graduate from Washington, DC Public Schools. He attended University of DC and the first look program at the Washington Bible College in Lanham, MD. He was licensed to preach at SFMBC by Rev. Dr. Welton Fields, Jr. on December 6, 2008.About me: Min. Craig C. Marshall is a native of Washington, DC. He married his lovely wife, Carol Marshall on May 3, 1988. He enjoys coaching youth basketball and football and has coached for over 30 years. He loves encouraging and inspiring young people through the word of God to be the best they can be. But most of all, he has a genuine love for the Lord! His favorite scripture is Psalms 23.
Minister of Discipleship
Areas of Ministry: Denita Keys, serves as the Minister of Discipleship, Head of the Education Ministry, Director of Connect Small Groups ministry, Fellowship and Activities committee and teaches discipleship classes.
Education – Denita has a Master’s Degree in Business with a concentration in healthcare management.
Denita has been in management for over 30 years with various large organizations. She was a department manager with Nordstrom, Nine West Shoes and RHJN. Her current role is Office Manager at an integrative medical practice in McLean, VA.
Denita has been a follower of Jesus Christ her entire adult life. She has a passion for leading men, women, boys and girls to Christ. Her positive energy and personality makes everyone she meets feel at home. Sister Keys began her Discipleship ministry in 2000 and she continues to see the importance of getting people connected to the body of Christ. She joined SFMBC in 2020 and has since resumed the responsibility of the Minister of Discipleship.
Minister Charles Robinson
Minister of MissionsAreas of Ministry: Minister Robinson teaches Adult Sunday School, is Chairperson of the Men’s Ministry and is a strong advocate in serving the homeless.Education: Min. Robinson is a high school graduate of Virginia public schools. He gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ in 1985 at the age of 36. Minister Robinson began his ministry at Good Shepherd Ministry in Capital Heights MD. There he was ordained a Deacon and licensed to preach in May 2005 under the leadership of Pastor Phillip Coram.About Me: Born and raised in Charlotte, VA. Minister Robinson preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ and is the husband of the late Minister Mildred A. Robinson and the father of four adult children and loves five precious grandchildren. Min. Robinson has made it his life’s mission to share the gospel that people may know who Jesus is and give them hope. His favorite scripture; John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever, believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life”.
- Deaconess Pamela DixonAt Large Member
Areas of Ministry – Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor, Council, Diaconate & Worship Ministry
Education – Pamela (Pam) is a High School Graduate of Ballou Senior High School in Washington DC. Pam gave her life to Christ at a very early age and was a member of Enon Baptist Church until she moved her membership to Edgewood Baptist Church in 2008 under the leadership of Pastor Frankey D. Grayton. She was ordained as a Deaconess in October 2014 and served as the Leader of the Finance Ministry for 3 years until her departure in 2020. Pam has been a member of Southern Friendship since March 2020.
Pam was born and raised in Washington DC and has been employed for 33 years with the American Red Cross and works in the Service to the Armed Forces Department, where she helps Military Personnel and their families all over the world make contact when a crisis or event is happening. She enjoys helping others by motivating and pushing them to their fullest potential. Pam has been married to Donnell Dixon for 30 years and is the mother of 3 children, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Pam loves worshiping and praising God, one of her favorite scriptures is Philippians NIV 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
- Minister Shetia RichardsonMinister of Administration
Min Shetia Richardson serves as a the Pastor of Administration and member of the Leadership Council. Ministerial Staff, Women's Ministry, Fine Arts Department (music ministry) & Pastor's Aide Ministry
Education: Min. Richardson is a proud alum of Bowie State University where she graduated with honors (magna cum laude) May 2021; with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Additionally, in December 2021 she completed a year long Minister In Training Program under Pastor Frankey D. Grayton. Min Richardson is now preparing to begin furthering her education at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, pursing a Masters in Forensic Psychology.
Min Shetia was born on March 1, 1985, to Cynthia Kenion and Robert Jett. At age 12 she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. In 2007 she co-founded Divine Destiny Chorale and diligently lead them as they endeavored to share the gospel through music for the past 14 years. Min. Richardson united with Southern Friendship Missionary Baptist Church November 2012 under the tutelage of Pastor Emeritus Welton Fields, Jr. and has served diligently in various capacities since. After years of prayer Min. Richardson accepted the call to preach in December 2020.
Min Richardson currently works in the Mental and behavioral health field. Min. Richardson plans to utilize her skills within her profession and passion for ministry to assist others in overcoming mental challenges and truama and have an overall better quality of life.
Shetia is blissfully married to Calvin Richardson and a proud Auntie to 10 nieces and nephews. Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:ll (For I know the plans I have for you saith the Lord…)
- Bro. Joseph BrownMinister of Operations
Areas of Ministry: I enjoy Sunday School, Bible Study and Prayer Services. I am currently involved with the Finance Ministry and operations support for SFMBC overall. “A Merry heart doeth good as a medicine, but sorrow drieth the bones” Proverbs 17:22
Education: Bro. Brown is a graduate from the Ohio public schools, Youngstown State University, ATT College of Business & Professional Drafting and Harding College of Business.
About Me: Born and raised in Youngtown, OH; relocated to the Washington, DC area in the Summer of 1986. Accepted Christ in 1972 as a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, Girard, OH under the pastorate of the late Rev. L.C. Booker. I am the father of 5 adult children and the grandfather of 11. I desire to be a humble servant in the kingdom of God. I trust God in the ‘process’ and strive to follow His leading.

Areas of Ministry: Deaconess Phillips is the Chairperson of the SFMBC Diaconate Ministry, Chairperson of the Golden Senior Ministry, and is a member of the Event Ministry. She has a passion to serve others that are ignited by her love for humanity and a commitment to help transform lives.
Education: Deaconess Phillips was educated in the Chesterfield Virginia School System. After graduating from high school, Nancy furthered her education at Elizabeth City State University in, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Nancy received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the District of Columbia in December 1980.
About me: By using a combination of education, life experiences, and faith, Deaconess Phillips encourages others to think outside of the box. Further, she inspires those under her leadership to uncover their own innate abilities that will catapult them towards both personal and professional success. With this love and passion, Deaconess Phillips has the gift of finding the tools to motivate people and aid them in seeking options they may not have otherwise considered.
- Minister Mikael CallowayMinister of Digital
Areas of Ministry: Mikael Calloway, serves as the Minister of Digital, an Associate Minister, teaches Adult Sunday School and teaches Discipleship Classes.
Education – Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from West Virginia Wesleyan College, Class of 2012. He gave his life to Christ in 2010 while attending college. He was licensed to preach at Edgewood Baptist Church in 2012 under the leadership of Pastor Frankey D. Grayton, Sr.
While attending college, Mikael started several businesses which include: Premere Couture - a fashion line for men, Trinity Digital Marketing - an agency to help others grow their business and Premere Auto Detail - a high-end mobile detailing company. He continues to lead PremereAuto Detail and has been in business since 2013.
Mikael received and accepted the call to ministry in 2012 while a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. His initial sermon was titled “Check Your Roots.” During his time at Edgewood, he was the Pastor of the Youth Ministry. Currently, Mikael is an associate minister at the Southern Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he continues to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Mikael’s passion is to work with youth and millennials and to serve in a ministry that will touch many lives.
Mikael has been married to his wonderful wife and partner in ministry, Sierra (Ce Ce) Jackson, since 2016. Mikael and Sierra share the same passion for Christ and together they plan to establish ministries that will make disciples and touch hearts in the community, city, and throughout the world for Christ.
Mikael's favorite scripture is Ephesians 3:20 - Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
