Rev . Frankey Grayton

Meet The Pastor

Pastor Frankey Grayton is the youngest son of the late Curtis Grayton and a strong prayer warrior, the late Viola “Ola” Johnson.

Pastor Grayton is a native of the District of Columbia and a product of the District of Columbia public schools. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Capitol Heights, MD, and double master’s degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. Pastor Grayton is a highly sought consultant and, had been a self-employed plumber for 21 years.

Pastor Grayton dedicated his life to Christ in January 1991 and became a member of Enon Baptist Church. At that time, he and his wife Talita were baptized together. Pastor Grayton was licensed and ordained as a minister under the tutelage of Reverend Tommie L. Shaw. In 1995, Pastor Grayton preached his initial sermon, “The ransom has already been paid; why are you still bound?”

Pastor Grayton faithfully served the Edgewood Baptist Church of Washington DC for nearly 12 years. He served that congregation leading through phenomenal growth and development until February 2020. With much prayer, Pastor Grayton accepted the call to become the fifth pastor of Southern Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Temple Hills, MD. Pastor Grayton became the Senior Pastor of Southern Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in May 2020.

Pastor Grayton has been married since July 1992 to the beautiful Minister Talita Grayton. Their marriage union has been the substratum that undergirds Pastor Grayton’s ministry. They have two daughters: Tionna (Derrick), and Courtney, and a son, Frankey II (Makiyah).

Pastor Grayton aims to aid God’s people in reaching their full potential as followers of Christ as it is written in II Timothy 2:2. To minister to God’s people most effectively, Pastor Grayton utilizes a combination of exegesis and exposition, with contemporary applications. He wants to continue building God’s Kingdom by leading God’s people to faithfully follow Jesus Christ.
